Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between VCV and Skype?

The main difference is that Skype is online communication..., both you and the interviewer communicate online and see each other. VCV is a video recorded by a candidate answering to the questions that you pre-posed in a text format. In other words, you are not supposed to be online while a candidate records his/her answers. The candidate does so at any convenient time, after receiving a link from VCV. VCV also allows you to make comments, assess competencies, forward video interviews to your colleagues, as well as give feedback to candidates.

How does recording of answers take place?

The candidate chooses the time that suits him/her best to record video answers, follows the link recieved by email..., tests camera and microphone, and after clicking “start recording” button gets the first question. Prior to video interview recording, the candidate is offered some time for preparation. Recording can be performed with a computer, a smartphone (via apps for iOS and Android), as well as with some tablets.

Whether the candidate sees questions in advance?

By default, the candidate does not see questions in advance..., you set the time to read a question (for example, 10 seconds) and time for an answer (for example, 1 minute), and a candidate is not able to see the following question untill he presses the “next question” button. While there is an option that allows you not to set limits for reading a question, in this case the candidate will see each question.

Can a candidate record his answers anew?

By default, such option is not provided.... If necessary, a recruiter can grant such an option by means of setting when creating a vacancy.

Is it possible to find candidates through your company?

VCV provides services of video selection of candidates who have already been found by you. ... We are not a job board and we do not provide recruiting services.

For what vacancies VCV can be applied?

VCV is fit for all types of vacancies. The most common job vacancies... are vacancies of middle management in areas like sales, marketing, finance, and administration.
